Below is an automated yearly review of this blog from WordPress. Very kind of them to collate these things and send them out to their users. But – don’t be deceived – these stats can never capture the whole story. The posts that were written and then never posted. The posts that are still stirring in my mind and not published yet. The days I wanted to cancel the whole blog, throw in the towel thinking, “what’s the point?!” I’m thankful for blogs, Facebook, Youtube and other online services that give us a platform to share information, encouragement, teaching and correction. But I’m also aware that all of these things have their limitations and could all be gone tomorrow. Let’s enjoy them but hold them loosely. And when we look at any ‘year in review’ let us think first of God’s faithfulness in all areas of life, both online and off.
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 8,300 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 3 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
