Well, Rose Resources has done it again. I have used Rose’s material for years and I am never disappointed. Christ in the Old Testament, provided to me by Rose free of charge in exchange for an unbiased review, is no exception. This is a valuable quick reference pamphlet on the types, whispers and foreshadows of our great God and savior Jesus Christ found throughout the Old Testament. This particular pamphlet focuses on the people in the OT who’s attributes and actions point to Christ either in a parallel way or by of contrast. Rose picked 13 OT characters and then compared and contrasted them in a chart on each page.

  • Adam
  • Noah
  • Abraham
  • Melchizedek
  • Joseph
  • Moses
  • Joshua
  • Samuel
  • David
  • Elijah
  • Elisha
  • Zerubbabel
  • Joshua

Each of these characters, their stories, what they did and said and what God did and said to and through them is laid side by side and connected to the scripture’s ultimate character, Jesus Christ. The parallels are astounding and Rose does a great job presenting them in a very easy-access and beautiful format. If you have never studied the types of Christ, I would highly recommend this small pamphlet to get you started and whet your appetite. You will want to pick up some further resources after you’ve looked through these few examples and you will be encouraged that the entire written Word of God truly speaks, on virtually every page, of the Word of God who became flesh and made his dwelling among us.
