Number of U.S. military personnel killed and wounded in major military conflicts.  You’ve got to see this.  I don’t write this to make light of any human conflict or downplay the seriousness of loss of life in any war.  I simply think the mainstream media should take a look at this chart every once in a while to make sure they aren’t forgetting the costs of war when they so casually knock the conflicts the US is involved in simply because there has been loss of life.  Perhaps, if we remembered the death toll of the past, we’d be a bit more forgiving of today’s Presidents that take our troops into harms way.  War is always horrible.  Death is never an OK thing, even in war.  But – it does help to keep a broad perspective of all wars so we don’t over or under react to our current conflicts.-
