From Biblical Economics –

Socialism distorts justice.  The fruits of one man’s labor are given to another in the interest of equality and at the expense of equity.  The poor man is assumed to have the right to the wealth of another man.  The wealthy man loses his right to the fruit of his own labor.  Under  a socialist economy the poor are not lifted up in order to produce equality, the wealthy are brought down.  Socialism breeds an unjust bias against the wealthy, making them the target of public scorn and inequitable taxation” p. 163
